With lyrical language and playful illustrations by Tasmanian neurodivergent artist Kat Richardson, this story becomes a mirror for some, a window for others, and a conversation starter for everyone.
Created by a neurodiverse family and produced in Melbourne, Australia, this book is perfect for classrooms, therapy spaces, bedtime chats, and gift-giving, and helps children feel proud of who they are.

Hi, I'm Rach! Founder of The Giggle Garden.
I wrote this book in the quiet moments between OT sessions, speech therapy, running a business, toddler chaos and all the unknowns that come with raising a little boy whose brain doesn’t quite follow the script.
I wrote it because the first words I was handed as a parent were things like “intervention,” “fixing,” and “red flags,” and I couldn’t stop wondering... what about the green ones?
What about how his mind makes connections I’d never see on my own? The questions that stop me in my tracks? The creativity, the depth, the absolute magic?
This book is a love letter to neurodivergent children and an invitation for everyone else to see the beauty in difference. It’s gentle, it rhymes, it’s made for bedtime and classrooms and quiet afternoons on the couch. It’s not perfect, but it’s honest, and it’s mine... ours.
